I recently went on a trip with my high school friends to Nashville, Tennessee, and we all had a blast. Seeing a new place is always fun, and so is packing for one. Well, at least I think it is. I might be kind of crazy because I actually love to pack for trips.
Which is why I created this blog post on what to pack for a long weekend in Nashville. We stayed four nights and three days, which was a good amount of time to explore the city.
So here are some of the top things you would need for a long weekend in Nashville during summertime.
Obviously, you’ll need a carry-on/duffel bag, and a backpack.
Sunscreen. It’s really hot in Nashville, and it’s easy to get sunburned if you’re not thinking about it. Protect your skin.
Swimsuit. Speaking of it being really hot, you’ll probably want to go swimming, so it’s smart to pack that swimsuit.
Gym shoes. There are a couple of great nature parks around the city to visit, and I definitely recommend to spend part of your trip at one. Gym shoes are definitely needed if you’re going to hit the trails, as well as athletic clothing.
Shoes that are comfortable to walk around in. This is a necessity. There’s a ton of things to do in Nashville, and you’ll probably want to walk around and see as much as you can, so comfortable shoes are a must.
Toiletries. This is a given anywhere you go.
Cute outfits for hitting up Broadway at night. Broadway is the place to be at night, because there’s great bars lining the street, and is also a great place to people-watch. I would usually get pretty sweaty during the day, and I always wanted to change at night before going out. A dress, or skirt and top are normal (where at the bars around my small school, it’s not).
Hopefully this helps give you an idea of what to bring along with you to Nashville! Happy packing.
